All of these animals were once native to the Holy Land, but the leopard, the bear, and the lion have now disappeared from her soil,

a few more or less endangered ones. Israeli wildlife federations have managed to return the native buffalo to the land where cows had once completely replaced them, and the gazelle and all her cousins still flourish
in the Land today. Of the pigeon and dove there never was and likely never will be a shortage (especially in city parks), and as for the little children. . . well, we hope many of them will behold the wolf and the lamb side by side very soon!
